The Wasting
03:39
|
|||
Love will you buy her a house?
so that she'll stay
love can you taper my dole?
and change my ways
well then what good are you for, anyway?
Love can you sire a young
and for it pay?
My heart's neither sterling nor gold
but I mean what I say.
But what good is that for, anyway?
What good am I for?
find another for to suit your way
I tried my best but how can I stay
we lick our wounds but they still remain
as we struggle now
and bray trying to find the blame
when we know that there was never a love more true
while you sit and work out what that means to you
as I fall into the memory
the year that you regret.

Rogue
03:25
|
|

Bluebottle rogue
where did you go?
Was my carrion not good enough for you?
I thought you'd be the one to see this through.
Days into nights
your children claw like angered phagocytes
razor blind, and writhing without will
cashing in on someone elses' kill
I come undone
fissures slack like ropes cut from their rung
My bones collapse a semblance of my form
crack to dust and waste out toward the dawn
rings in the grass
a watermark of long forgotten farse
what grows here's not by want but winded chance
victims of the slaughter of romance.

A Charnel House
02:22
|
|
||
Someone will take my body
someone will read my will
someone will auction off my things, dear
my love will linger for you still.
and when you learn to love again
I will learn to rot
and maybe in times now a passing
I will learn to be forgot.
I'd rather live in your arms than in memory
an echo that is stifling out your flame.
A charnel house has no place in a pasture
but flowers will grow around her all the same.
Someone will take your body
someone will cater to your say
and you won't have bargain for your want dear
and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I am Mutiny
04:24
|
|
||
Is there guilt atoned
with these walls?
Is your lustless hand a stone
I am mutiny
caulk the parting seams
salt is a mutiny
brim noetics ghost
for I am the mutiny.
